My grandmother had asthma for years. Her house was always very clean, but she constantly suffered from bronchitis and other upper respiratory problems for years. In a last ditch effort to help her health, I bought her an Oreck XL Air Purifier and she has been able to breathe easier since. It turns out that she was allergic to a specific type of mold that had been growing in her house for years. However, the Oreck that I bought her cleaned the air of that mold and rid her of most of her health problems. I have been very pleased with it and would highly recommend it to anyone needing cleaner air!

Oreck XL Air Purifier filters are easy to access and clean!

We were hit by Hurricane Katrina and desperately needed some sort of device to get rid of the mold that was growing after our roof took on several leaks. It became obvious to us that living in this part of the country we very much needed to get some type of air cleaning system. We tried out a no-name stick type air purifier is an effort to save a bit of money, but truth be told, its a much better idea to go ahead and purchase the Oreck. It works so much better and the air in our home is so much cleaner and easier to breathe. For the amount of leaks we had, it was perfect for cleansing our air.

I saw the Oreck XL Air Purifieron an infomercial a few months ago. And like many late night TV watchers, I thought, what the heck, I'll try it out. So I bought one. The shipping came quickly and I was pleased with their customer service. However, From the moment I opened the box, I knew it was a mistake. I expected miracles but it really was just average. The infomercial showed all this dirt and grime in the filter, but I don't imagine anyone would have that kind of junk in the air unless they lived in coal mine. I am certain that this air purification system is a decent system but not for that price. However, I was able to and returned it within the 90 day return time, which was a great decision. I was very please with my money being returned to me. However, it was a huge waste of time for what it does.

This air purifier is worthless, its not easy to use and the filter only catches dust, not any pathogens like it should. Its overpriced and you would be better off with any Walmart air purifier. I am an EPA certified HVAC Technician and would not recommend the Oreck Xl Air Purifier.
